Philosophy
The Alternative Schools (High School and Middle School) provide a highly structured and therapeutic educational experience. It emphasizes academic and social/emotional growth through relationship building between educational staff and students. Students are encouraged to identify issues that impede success in school, work and in the community.
The program promotes personal empowerment by encouraging students to accept responsibility for and the consequences of their actions. An emotionally safe and supportive school environment will allow students to assess and pursue their future personal, educational and vocational options.
