Haverhill Public Schools – Community Schools

A community school within Haverhill Public Schools serves as a hub for community services and support. Community Schools operate through a dedicated Community School Coordinator (CSC) who assesses needs, targets results, and works closely with school administration, staff, students, and families. The school partners with local organizations through the CSC to provide resources such as tutoring, health services, counseling, and after-school programs. The goal is to remove barriers to learning by addressing students’ academic, social, and emotional needs, with families and community members actively involved in shaping programs and services. Overall, a community school strengthens both student success and community well-being. A.B. Consentino Middle School and Paul Nettle Middle School currently offer community school resources.

  • Diaper Bank – The Anchor of Hope Diaper Bank, the Saint Vincent de Paul Society, and the parishioners of Saint James Church provide these diapers. Diapers will be given the SECOND and FOURTH SATURDAY of the month from 10AM-11AM to those Haverhill residents who register to receive them. Distribution occurs at the Saint Vincent de Paul section of the St. James Parish Center on Cottage Street. The number of diapers you receive will depend on the number that has been donated. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that we will have diapers every month. Let the volunteers know if your child’s size has changed for the next month. Children from birth to age 4 are eligible for up to 50 diapers/month.
